Simultaneous Interpreting

Listening to the speaker in the one

language whilst speaking simultaneously in another.

This kind of interpretation is very

demanding and requires both a sound-proof interpretation booth as well as a

second colleague so that interpreters may take turns at interpreting.

Some examples of when this mode of

interpreting may be used:

·Conferences

·Presentations

·Training sessions

·TV, radio and other media

events

·Meetings

I offer simultaneous interpretation from

German to English and English to German.

I collaborate exclusively with other

professional interpreters who also specialise in English/German interpretation.

If you are unsure as to what kind of

interpretation would be best suited to your event I am able to advise you on

this.

Consecutive Interpreting /Liaison Interpreting

Consecutive interpretation involves first

listening to the speaker whilst making notes and then interpreting what was

said afterwards.

Some examples of when this mode of

interpreting may be used:

·Ceremonial speeches

·Depositions

·Excursions

·Bilateral meetings / small

groups

·Interviews

I offer consecutive interpretation from

German to English and English to German.

Do not hesitate to contact me for more

information.

Translation and Proofreading

Translation differs from interpreting in

that it involves working with written language as opposed to spoken.

Many different types of texts require

translation.

For instance:

·Reports

·Speeches

·Articles

·Press releases

·Brochures /Websites

·Conference documents /

presentations

Translators generally translate into their

mother tongue. I offer translation from German and Spanish into English.

I also provide copy-editing and proofreading services for English-language documents.
